Shungo Toujou

Shungo was the upperclassman who Yuu once shared an umbrella with. Since he's a very popular guy at school, Yuu was bullied by his female fans to the point where she wasn't able to return to school anymore. When Koremitsu questioned him about the incident, Shungo stated that he was very clear on what kind of girl he wanted to date.

He's Aoi's cousin, and belongs to a family working under Hikaru's.


It was later revealed that Shungo was very much in love with Yuu, and wanted to protect her from Hikaru who he was certain would only make her into one of his playmates. When Yuu stopped coming to school Shungo was worried, and the woman living next-door was actually hired by him to watch over her, making sure that Hikaru wouldn't do anything bad while being there.

Shungo was the one who informed Yuu about Hikaru's death, and he was also the one who poured ink on the bullies' umbrellas.

When they were still children, Shungo met Hikaru for the first time and mistook him for a girl. Before the truth was revealed to him, Shungo stated that Hikaru might just be prettier than both Aoi and Asai, but refused to admit that he could possibly be his first love.
