In Sabita Yoru demo Koi wa Sasayaku, Fuyuji has been dating Kannosuke since high school. Even though Kannosuke is controlling and physically abusive, Fuyuji endures it, telling himself that he can take anything and bounce back as long as there's hope of making Kannosuke smile like before. However, he can't forget Hideyuki, one of his friends from high school and his first love.

In Hadakeru Kaibutsu, Fuyuji has moved to Kyoto with Hiromu and is working as a manager at a bar in Osaka; one of Ayumu's coworkers has a crush on him, and Ayumu eventually realizes who Fuyuji is.
