About

A brilliant fourth-year university student who aspires to become a lawyer. She's in a relationship with Akio, who became her confidant when her previous boyfriend became too frustrating for her, and after breaking off her relationship they eventually started dating. She obtains an internship at a law firm in Tokyo through Professor Taniyama's connections and spends her busy days balancing her work and her studies for the bar exam, while continuing to date Akio.


She later falls in love at first sight with Toshihiko Hasegawa, an older married man that she met when she was out on a work errand. This causes her relationship with Akio to end. She doesn't develop a romantic or physical relationship with Hasegawa and even though she told Akio that she didn't plan to, she's unable to cut off her ties with him. The stress eventually takes its toll and causes her mental health problems.
