Vaith is the Captain of the Black Knights and one of Sylthfarn's closest friends. Though he can have his serious moments, Vaith tends to be lighthearted and playful.

When he first saw Mel, he mistook her for Sylthfarn. Realizing the uncanny resemblance between the girl and the Master Wizard, he kidnapped Mel, hoping she would help with the impersonation.

Originally his hair was white, but following a disastrous mission during the war, where all his comrades where killed, he began to dye it black.
