Reese Heyman

About

Reese is a former detective working at a bookshop. While going to work one day, he apprehends the pickpocket Jimmy and has him work at the bookshop for a day in exchange for not turning him over to the police. Reese has a guarded demeanor and is a good judge of character, often guessing what Jimmy is thinking from his facial expressions (though he admits Jimmy wears his heart on his sleeve).


Reese quit the police force after his partner was brutally murdered, and it took a long time and a lot of therapy for him to manage the trauma. Jimmy's break-in attempt affects him to the point of needing a week off from work.
