Kingo Habuta

About

Kingo is a stage director and Izana's long-time friend. Although Izana regarded him as "nothing more than her slave," she entrusted Kasane's future to him, requesting that he "lead her daughter out from the abyss, and into the white lights." Thus, Kingo takes on a protective role toward Kasane and frequently snaps her back on track whenever the guilt of her actions tends to overpower her.

Regarding his connection to Izana:

Kingo knew Izana as a child and related to her since they were both treated as unwanted by those around them (him being the product of a rape, her being ugly). When Izana burned down Akeiwa village and killed his family (among others), Kingo felt grateful for being set free. Years later, he reconnects with her at a performance and, through her influence, becomes a stage director.
