Takayuki "Joe" Sajou

Takayuki works as a prostitute at the Loved Circus brothel. He is fequently referred to by the pseudonym "Joe". He is the "muscle" of the gang and enjoys teasing Keima with theatrical threats of what the underworld could do to him. He tends to squabble with the hostesses of the Quire. Despite the debts, he still has a gambling habit and seeks out customers outside of the brothel's hours, which isn't allowed.

His debt finally cleared, Takayuki decides to leave Loved Circus after he meets Somu, a former Loved Circus prostitute, again, and finds out that Somu had had a crush on him for years. The two move to Somu's home country and are shown to still be happily together years later, Takayuki also having given up gambling.

In the epilogue, it is revealed that Takayuki was brought to Loved Circus after managing to survive a murder attempt by a yakuza group he'd gotten in trouble with.
