Shiro

About

Shiro has been working as a prostitute at the Loved Circus brothel for ten years. He is the one who prevents Keima from committing suicide, welcoming him into the brothel and patiently showing him the ropes. Shiro treats his clients with respect and understands their vulnerability. Maria notes that he has the habit of trying to have sex with his crushes in order to get rid of his feelings.

His past:

Maria recounts to Keima that twenty years prior, when she and her husband took over the building that would eventually house Loved Circus, they found Shiro — a 7/8-year-old boy whose birth wasn't recorded anywhere and whose name was given to him by a customer — next to his deceased mother. Despite their best efforts to raise him properly, Shiro's trauma led to him propositioning people and ultimately choosing to stay at Loved Circus, the only place he ever felt safe and happy at.


Shiro pays off Keima's debts in secret and eventually buys Loved Circus from the Leader.


Several years later, Keima revisits the Loved Circus, now a regular bar, to find out that Shiro had been stabbed by an unstable customer and rendered paraplegic, needing to use a wheelchair to get around. The two decide to rekindle their friendship, and Shiro proposes that Keima establish his new cybersecurity company in the same building as the newly repurposed Loved Circus.
