Rakkasei "Rakka"

Rakkasei is a human child brought up by and living with Rojica. Exuberant, outgoing and impulsive, Rakkasei loves having fun and a good adventure, never taking risks into account, though Rakkasei can get easily bored if something isn't of interest. Although Rakkasei sometimes makes Rojica worry, they have a loving and very close relationship, spending each day having fun.


Rakkasei was born to parents who were descended from the last remaining humans that had escaped to and lived in outer space for centuries. When Earth's conditions were finally suitable to host human life again, their spaceship was on course to return but several space objects and phenomena destroyed their spaceship on the way. Rakkasei's mother attempted to survive by entering a space capsule and departing for Earth. Rakkasei's mother didn't survive the journey and the orphaned Rakkasei was found inside the capsule by Rojica and C3. This makes Rakkasei the last human on earth. Rakkasei's original given name isn't revealed.

Although Rakkasei is adressed most of the time as a girl, Rakkasei is also adressed as a boy at times which Rakkasei doesn't seem to mind. In the afterword, the manga author Kinome says that a gender hadn't really been decided on yet, but that Rakkasei was most likely a girl.
