Maiko is a student from the university that Kiyotaka teaches at. She has a crush on him and won't take no for an answer, desperately pursuing him and willing to put his career in jeopardy to be with him. Maiko has a habit of picking abusive men to date, and sees Kiyotaka as "too good for her".
