Doc is a ripperdoc and a secondary character in the series. A surgeon by day, Doc moonlights as an illicit ripperdoc. Doc is an active businessman and operates side hustles selling braindances, software, drugs and other items often found on the black market. He is notoriously known to be shameless and hedonistic as well as penchant for opportunism and ruthless negotiations.

Character Background:
Doc would expose David Martinez to braindance with extremely graphic levels of sex and violence, known as XBDs, including a recently acquired braindance of a military veteran murdering several police officers during a cyber psychotic episode.

Timeline:

After a major event in David's life, he decides to become an Edgerunner, and asks Doc to implant the military-grade Sandevistan that he received.

Doc warns about the effects of the Sandevistan and gleefully agrees to offer David the service of implanting the Sandevistan, on the condition that when the Sandevistan fails to be compatible with David's biology, the Sandevistan would then become Doc's property.

During David's final meeting with Doc, David would arrive seeking to manage the symptoms of his overuse of cyberware. Doc would suggest a downgrade, causing David to rage and lash out at Doc with physical abuse.

Doc would resentfully offer David the drugs he was seeking, also reminding him of his inevitable ending due to the path he chose.
