A slender, middle-aged man who works as an audio typist. He is 42 years old, married and has a son who is hard of hearing. He first meets Yoshino when she spots him transcribing a tape while out on a work errand and they start meeting often after that. However, he suddenly brings his son along to one of their meetings, which upsets Yoshino.
