Kaoru is Mikihiko's first ex-wife. They divorced after she cheated on him with a woman, and then again with Mikihiko's second wife. She works as a lyricist and Mikihiko feels like their marriage was mostly out of professional convenience. Kaoru is very jealous, to the point of hating the men that her current wife had dated before.
