Akebi is an intimidating girl whose family is part of the yakuza. She is amused by Sumire's boldness in taking away her cigarettes anytime she catches her smoking, and accepts both Sumire and Renge into her circle. Thanks to Sumire, she gains the courage to stand up to her strict father. Akebi tends to see betting opportunities in everything and is almost always seen with a lollipop, after she gives up smoking.


At 24, Akebi manages a fashion boutique in Tokyo and looking after the members of her father's group, after its disbandment. She is also engaged to Kazuma.
