Takeru is Tadayuki's friend, and a doctor. When Tadayuki begins feeling ill, Takeru insists on examining him, and is left distraught after Tadayuki bites him and disappears. Once he tracks him down, Takeru pushes him to accept his help and sets out to research Tadayuki's condition while providing him with blood. Although Tadayuki often questions whether Takeru isn't wasting his life on him, Takeru is adamant that he is choosing to stay with Tadayuki of his own free will.
