Ren used to hang out with Tsukasa and Kaito in middle school, and even confessed his feelings to Tsukasa before moving away. Now, Ren works for Miyake, who picked him up after his mother abandoned him while on the run from debt collectors. Although he initially wants to do as Miyake tells him, Ren finds himself wanting to help Tsukasa out.
