Makoto is Hajime's older brother, and has been compared to him since they were young, with Makoto being made to feel like he was falling short of everyone's expectations. Despite being used to his partners falling for Hajime, Makoto is surprised at the possessiveness he feels towards Souta after the latter confesses to him.
