Appears in It's Not Because I'm Sad. Akihiko transfers from Tokyo to Katsumi's high school after his father passes away. Despite being popular with the girls, he keeps to himself and doesn't want to make friends. After Katsumi accidentally sees him playing with a soccer ball, Akihiko begins hanging out with him to smoke, even though they barely talk to each other.


He is Koharu's grandson, but Akihiko initially remembers nothing about her because he and his parents moved away when he was two years old. Akihiko's mother died shortly after giving birth to him, and the only close family he has left is his stepmother.
