Because of a shipwreck 13 years ago, Leah was separated from her family. Jinryang rescued Leah and helped her stop the pain that was haunting her by his incense. He then accepted her as his shadow disciple and started to train her. Leah then opened her eyes, and she couldn't see humans normally. She could only see guidelines that help her transform into someone else. The treatment that Jinryang put her through was an operation that members of Persephone receive to help them learn the flow of mana, which caused her to see humans differently.
