The main male protagonist. He was reincarnated from a much more magically and technologically advanced Japan. In his past life, he was regarded as someone very ugly. Due to this, he had closed of his heart until he became 82 years old and died of old age. He longs for companionship, believing that true happiness comes from marriage. This led him to become more active in trying to look for a partner and is fine with anybody. Although he longs for such, he has almost interaction with the opposite sex besides family and store clerks. Before he reincarnated, he had graduated from a science university and specialized in Golem Engineering.

Now in his new life, as the fourth son of Viscount Adolni, he has almost no right to succession of his household. Due to this, he had two choices - to become a knight or a common - which he chose the latter and followed the merchant life. At the age of 10, he started his company, the Rurban Trading Company, and has successfully built it up for it to have stores across the kingdom, even at the royal capital after 6 years. Unbeknownst to him, the company even has a fan club dedicated to him.

To many noble women, he is known as the "Black Ice Flower Prince" due to his appearance and icy-like demeanour.

In order to be formally engaged to Ana, he had to be adopted into a suitable household, which the Valvalier House, a marquess household, took him in. Thus he could be formally engaged to Ana.
