Akahoshi goes to 'Tsugana Boy's High'. He pretends to be cool and from there he seems to be arrogant, but in fact he is very gentle.

Furthermore he is an only child, blood-type B and is born on the 23rd of May. Plus Eiji falls for Sachi.

Eiji now attends H-university in Sapporo. While he was hanging out with Yuuhei in a restaurant he overhears trouble at a mixer meet up in which Sawako and Ume went so that they could find a new guy for Ume to like. Hearing the name ''Sawako Kuronuma'' he goes to rescue her and Ume from the troublesome guy and Sawako responds "'Brother Eiji?"- revealing that they're cousins.

After catching up and getting introduced to Ume, he gets interested in her. After they talk for a bit, he can't help but enjoy her reactions and he firmly asks her to date him.
