Hasunuma "Numa-chan, Numa-sensei, Fake Hasunuma"

    About

Hasunuma is a teacher at Komaki's school.

Since the beginning of the manga, he is shown to have weird behavior and seems to be aware of the many secrets of the other characters. He is shown to be a good teacher who is adored and popular with students, who jokes with them and turns a blind eye to some of their mischievous behaviors at school. He begins as a support character at the start of the manga, but later, he becomes a main character with significant importance to the plot.

Hanasuma is always the one in the dark, solving problems when things become a little too dangerous, at least with the problems that the main characters are involved in. He appears to be mysterious and smart.

He is the person who punishes Aoki-sensei, by making him literally "disappear," when his abuse of Kurokawa comes to light.

It is later revealed that he has special abilities like our main characters, but he seems to have all five of the senses significantly enhanced. He's also shown to pay particular attention to Ikeno, Kurokawa, Tsurumi, and Shijou.

Later, he proposes to Kurokawa to become the mother of his child. Hasunuma states that he likes Kurokawa Rika, but he also admits that there is another person who he truly loves.

In the eighth volume, Hasunuma finally reveals many of the secrets he hid until then. As Tsurumi had guessed, he had a relation with the aliens; however, unlike what Tsurumi thought, Hasunuma does not have an alien "inside" him. Rather, he himself is an alien. Unit that point, the aliens that in Parapal were similar to parasites that were small, human-look-alike creatures, which can live inside people but would die if outside them. While on earth, the aliens lie inside the humans, either awake or sleeping. Humans had accepted them inside either while dreaming (like Komaki) or via other circumstances/means.

Hanasuma explains that unlike the others, he himself is an alien who took control of the real Hanasuma-sensei. The real Hanasuma wanted to end his life, and at that point, the alien came up to him to borrow his body to accomplish what he wanted to do. The alien had basically made a deal with the real Hanasuma who has been "sleeping" for three years since that day. From this point, Tsurumi, who never liked Hasunuma from the beginning—as he had always looked suspicious—starts to call him by the nickname "fake Hasunuma."

The alien then explains that he came to earth in order to find the person he truly loves. This is revealed to be Hana. He explains that in their world, there are five types of gender:
    1st: like "human males"
    2nd: like "human females"
3rd: asexuate almost all the time, but which turns to be "fecondable" once a year
    4th: asexuate
    5th: hermaphrodite

The type of gender determines the social position, and the rarer the gender is, the higher the position they have. "Fake" Hasunuma is one of the first types of gender, which are extremely rare in their world (and for this reason are nearly extinct). This makes him somewhat similar to a "King." Only seven of the first gender types are alive in their actual 100 millions population, and due to his rarity, he was controlled and protected all his life.

Hana, who is of the third gender type, had once been the caretaker of the "fake" Hanasuma. Hana had been the only person who had always behaved normally with him, even scolding him when needed. This normal behavior toward him, made the "fake" Hanasuma fall in love with Hana. When she was transferred to earth, he had escaped his world without permission in order to find Hana.

Because of this, the "fake" Hanasuma always showed more care toward Komaki, even more than what he showed to Rika. He even threatened Kurokawa that he would make her "disappear" like Aoki-sensei if she would ever happen to hurt Ikeno through the same abuse she was been through.

In the end, he planned to remove the aliens from the heads of the others in order to save them and bring them back to his home.
