Shun Takahata is the protagonist of the manga Kamisama no Iutoori, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Akeji Fujimura.

Shun is introduced as a high school boy who hates his boring life. One day, suddenly, his teacher's head explodes and a Daruma comes out of the back of his head, starting a series of deadly games that Shun and his classmates have to overcome to win.
As the story progresses, Shun is motivated to continue by the adrenaline rush of the games, which make him feel alive for the first time.
After leaving the cube with the other survivors, Shun falls into depression and acquires a feeling of hatred towards whoever created these games. His goal from this moment on is to kill the one responsible for all this.



In Kamisama no Iutoori 2, Shun meets Yasuto Akashi and Ushimitsu Kyoshiro, the latter is the one who saves him and Amaya from the death that awaited them after the end of the first manga, allying the three of them to return to the games and kill Kamimaro Kaminokouji.
