Ookubo, Ryuu
About
Ryuu Ookubo is a Japanese artist and animator. His works includes music videos, magazines, advertisement, apparel, and interior design. Ookubo employs a variety of drawing tools and styles (simple line drawing, air brush, watercolor, digital, ect.) depending on theme of work or his creative leaning. His work have been featured in exhibitions such as "A Broken iPhone" (2016, CALM & PUNK GALLERY), "GRANDMOTHER" (2016, TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS)," and a joint exhibition between him and Kenichi Miyazawa (magma). Ookubo published his first collection of works that same year.
