Favorite volleyball players: Shigeru Aoyama and Yuta Yoneyama. Furudate was a former volleyball player during Junior High School, gaining the position of middle blocker. Furudate lived in the Iwate Prefecture until graduation and moved to Miyagi Prefecture after.
